COVID-19 National Lockdown
ALL MASSES SUSPENDED DURING LOCKDOWN
Dispel your fears and never lose hope, because God is with us. Although we do not at this time publically celebrate Holy Mass, we can still encounter Christ in our lives. Let us invoke God’s grace of strength and courage as one faith family, so we can withstand our trials and difficulties. Let us together seek the maternal intercession of Our Blessed Mother Mary, that our trust in God’s power and through His Son, help us end this pandemic and grant us salvation.

The Letter and the prayers were broadcast on Saturday, 25 April. The following is the English text of the Pope’s letter and the two Marian prayers. The first prayer is the one the Pontiff addressed to Our Lady of Divine Love in a video message on the occasion of the Mass celebrated by Cardinal Vicar Angelo on 11 March, Diocesan Day of Prayer and Fasting. Father Joseph Leathem
Father Joseph Leathem died unexpectedly on March 16, after just two nights in hospital. He would have turned 85 on April 29.
His death took everybody by surprise. He was known to be a fit man who played a round of golf every week and, at his age, he could still genuflect quite easily.
